The comment I just wrote ended up right next to your tag "call of cthulhu" - you're a Lovecraft fan as well! I love his stories - The Thing on the Doorstep is my favourite - and have spent many freaked-out nights thanks to his works. Lovecraft is so good that he can make you frightened of trees!
