I'm sad to hear of the loss of the comment, but I'm glad you persevered through and posted again!
I used to go through a cemetery all the time--there was one in my hometown on the way from my parents' house to downtown, and I'd go on walks in the evening through it. I think it's mostly the solemnity that like. There's no extraneous noise and making such noise is actively discouraged, so it's easy to find peace there. And I love reading the headstones that have more than just a name and trying to imagine their lives.
I told worldbshiny that I wanted garbage late-night food before I ordered, but I wasn't expecting it to be so...literal. It was one of the only non-sushi items on the menu and I took a risk ordering it, and it didn't pay off. If I ever go back there I'll either remember that or, I guess more likely, I'll accept the garbage with open eyes.
I actually have transition lens on my glasses precisely to help with the sunlight, but it only does so much. I do use sunscreen if I'm going to be out to avoid sunburn, but it doesn't save my eyes.
I guess I could wear a hat, if I could find one I actually liked. Or a stillsuit like in Dune.
