And what you mentioned is exactly why I prefer the All-Stars version. The graphic upgrade is nice, but the real benefit is the ability to choose a new character after death means, which is the best way to get around not already knowing who the best character for any particular stage is. And I certainly didn't know that--the last time I played this game was over a decade ago.
