Wow what a great trip! That seems like such a lovely place and such lovely people to enjoy it with! That is so kind of them to surprise you with a cake!!

That's funny about the jam and toast. As a child I also only ate jam and toast with my grandparents. I loved it, but only ever ate it there! I think of it every time I eat it now. I had one weekend where I was allowed to stay there and none of my siblings came, and it was the first time I ever had had jam and toast, and then I just kept it up! It's very interesting that you also have that nostalgic reaction!
