Plague fashion, or, how I dress anyway
A couple days ago I had to go to the grocery store to get more vegetables--I'm doing pretty well on other food categories, since I had so much frozen meat and I buy rice in giant bags because I eat so much of it--and just on walks outside, I'd already seen people ignoring the six-foot rule, brushing past each other at close range when in stores, and so on. So, rather than try to keep away from other people, which is a futile endeavor in any place that doesn't have enough room for me to walk away from them, I thought of how to convince people to stay away from me. It turns out that in my wardrobe, I had the perfect costume to warn people away.

If you were expecting a plague doctor costume...I have that too. But it'd be hard to shop in.
Those were both pieces I already had. The mask was from years ago, from when I cosplayed an enderman at ACEN 2016, and the wrap is just an extremely large scarf I bought partially because I could turn it into a hood if it started raining or snowing when I was out somewhere. And it actually was raining when I was on my way to the store, so I got both the quarantine warning usage and the staying dry usage! And I managed not to flip out and kill anyone, so mission accomplished all around.
Have to go out again today and look for matzah for Passover (if it hasn't all been bought because it's shelf-stable...) and potatoes for dinner tonight, so I'll be wearing it again. Ninja need to eat, after all.

I lived in Japan back then, so it was pretty popular when we heard about it
