It's Erev Purim and we're having steamed Ḥams

The audience for this joke is small, but I am in it--Steamed Hams, in the style of the Megillat Ester.



Internet recitation tonight that I'm planning to go to. It won't be as good as in person, but it'll still be nice.

Happy Purim, just learned about it last night. Hope you appropriately got smashed and such ;)
All the overviews I'm seeing videos of seem to gloss over a lot of depth of the story of Hadassah/Esther, so I have to go back and read it I guess!

I had more alcohol than I've had in a year, so appropriately!

There's a lot going on with Purim. Just today I saw two different rabbis argue that the virtue of Esther was respectively that she deferred to Mordechai and was modest; and that she spoke out for her people even at the risk of death.
