2018 in Gaming
Continuing my tradition from last year, here's a list of all the games I played and beat in 2018, in chronological order.
It slowed down in the later part of the year because I've been playing Breath of the Wild (120 hours so far) and Darkest Dungeon. Darkest Dungeon I should be wrapping up soon, but Breath of the Wild I probably have still 30 hours or so left. I spent a lot less time playing endless games like Heroes of the Storm, Binding of Isaac, and so on this year, which is better over all. I love video games and I'm almost certainly never going to give them up as a hobby, but concentrating on games that I can put down and say "Now I have finished this, I shall move on to another one" feels like a much better use of my free time and prevents me from just mindlessly wasting time on something.
Maybe this year I'll finally start the Witcher games, or beat Xenoblade Chronicles 2. After I finish Breath of the Wild I'll have no more Zelda games to play, so maybe I'll play more Kirby games. Or play some visual novels now that my Japanese is good enough to do so. Who knows! With the end of my Zelda project in sight, maybe I'll actually play some current games. Wouldn't that be a change.
- Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
- Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire
- Transistor
- Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
- Life Force
- Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
- Shadowrun: Hong Kong
- Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon
- Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
- Stardew Valley
- Kirby's Dream Land 3
- Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes
- Final Fantasy VI
- Behind Every Great One
- The Secret of Monkey Island
- Stasis
- Kirby's Return to Dream Land
- Triforce
- Quest for Glory III: Wages of War
