I feel like I should have done one of these in previous years, but I didn't. Well, it's not too late to start. Here's a list of all the games I played and beat in 2017, in chronological order.

  1. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
  2. Solar Winds I: the Escape
  3. Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen
  4. Wasteland II: Director's Cut
  5. Kirby Super Star
  6. Super Mario RPG
  7. Owlboy
  8. Blaster Master Zero
  9. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
  10. Another Metroid 2 Remake
  11. Momodora: Requiem Under the Moonlight
  12. The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
  13. 2064: Read Only Memories
  14. Adventures of Lolo
  15. The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages
  16. Warcraft: Orcs & Humans
  17. King's Quest VI: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow
  18. The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
  19. Kirby's Dream Land
  20. The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures
  21. The Legend of Zelda: the Minish Cap
  22. The Shivah
  23. Super Castlevania IV
  24. Night in the Woods
  25. Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC
  26. Divinity: Original Sin
  27. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
  28. Super Mario Odyssey

Twenty-eight games! That's pretty good, especially when several of them were dozens-of-hours-long RPGs. I think that my commitment to writing a review for every game keeps me from just playing more Fall from Heaven or Crusader Kings 2 or spending a lot time in Binding of Isaac. It's true that if games stopped being made today, I could still play 10/10 games for the rest of my life and never lack for amazing gaming, but I'm at least making an effort to clear through my backlog.

Here's to hoping for a fun 2018!
