Well, I'm definitely sick. Monday I didn't feel well, but for much of the week I felt a lot better. My ear never fully opened, but it was close. And then last night I felt a scratching in my throat, and now I'm at work with a clogged throat, a closed ear, and if I'm not feverish I feel a little like it. Sometimes it's better, sometimes it's worse. I'm only at work because we get "personal days," not specifically sick days, and I can come to work I'm not using a potential vacation day on being ill. I don't touch food, work with clients, or generally talk to anyone, so.

It's been making me gradually feel worse throughout the day, though, so maybe this was a bad idea.

Speaking of work, my new boss gave me a bit of a fright earlier. I came back from the bathroom to find a note on my mirror that just said "Please see me at [desk number]" and I spent a bit wondering if I had done something wrong. Did I make some mistake in the database? Is there something I missed? No, it turns out they just wanted me to work on a particular project. Good outcome, but I definitely had my heart skip a beat for a moment.
