Stop! Grammar time!

I overheard one of my coworkers mentioning a question she had about gray vs grey, and I popped out and said that they were both correct, but that gray was more common in America. That prompted a flurry of other questions once I revealed that I used to be an English teacher about too vs to, accept vs except, their vs there, and whose vs who. They told me that I had a simple but comprehensive way of explaining things, and I replied that I had to teach people who didn't speak much English, so I didn't have the luxury of complicated explanations. They then told me that I should give a seminar or something, since the grammar class on offer here taught them nothing. They suggested I talk to management about it.
I mean, maybe? It's been a while and I don't know that there's a need for it. But it might be a step into proofreading, which would be more interesting than my current job. I'll consider it.
lisekatevens was in the Loop and invited me out for coffee, but it was at the end of my lunch hour so I couldn't go, though I did get to eat lunch with her and
worldbshiny yesterday since I didn't bring a lunch. Now that the oven works again, though, it's back to making lunches. Another friend is coming over tonight and we're making dinner and playing board games, which is good. It's nice to see people.
