A lot of people seem to think history is like Civilization's tech tree, where it's an inexorable progress toward the top, but QUILTBAG rights were better in the 20s than in the 30s, and one of the best times in recent history to be Jewish was in turn-of-the-20th-century Germany.

If we don't personally take it into our hands to make the world into a world that reflects our kind vision of justice, those who take a vicious view will certainly make it into theirs.
