Maybe she should look at working with a zoo or small/large animals? She could probably travel and work as a locum vet overseas on loads fewer hours. I know where I am in beautiful West Wales we have vet vacancies come up regularly, and the working time directive (thank you EU) means that she can't work more than 48 hours a week...
