Listen to the Rain

Yeah...like, sure, China lied and covered it up for a month and let it spread...but once they locked down Wuhan totally, that should have convinced other governments elsewhere that this was a serious problem and we needed to prepare. And we just...didn't. Basically no one did! Not America, not Europe, not Japan, not India, nowhere. South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand all came out okay, but anyone else just thought that what happened in China stays in China, even though we're in a hyper-globalized world. And now we have a hyper-globalized plague.

Well, I picked my icon for a reason.

I remain convinced that this was absolutely deliberate.

The rich have gotten a whole lot richer in the last couple months, so it wouldn't surprise me if they thought it would be bad enough to make some money, but not bad enough to ruin society.
