The chibi is a series of tubes

The wedding will be June 9, somewhere around here. We aren't sure exactly where yet, but when we have more news, I'll be sure to put it here, since unlike
schoolpsychnerd, I'm not flooding my LJ with wedding-related news. ^_~
I voted early on Saturday. I figured I should do it so that I don't have to worry about anything coming up on election day distracting me from voting. My message is: vote. Even if you normally don't, even if you think "the parties are the same," or whatever, get out and vote. Democracy isn't a state you reach and remain there--it's a constant struggle to prevent any reoccurrences of tyranny.
Oh, and remember: If you vote Republican, you vote for facism.
The JET application is finally up. Apparently it (except for the essay) doesn't really take that long to fill out, so I'll start working on that tomorrow. The essay will take longer, but it's 2 pages double spaced, so it's not going to be a huge burden. I just need to figure out what to emphasize. I don't have any teaching experience or similar extracurricular activity. I know minimal Japanese (Minimal. I'm nowhere close to being able to do much more than ask "What time is it?" and "Where's the bathroom/hospital/bus station?"), but I'm going there to teach English. Hmm...
And, finally, Heroes got picked up for a full season. This excites me because it's the only show I actually follow (as in, make time on Mondays to watch). Plus, it's Aberrant, the TV show. What's not to like?
