softlykarou and I usually don't do much for Valentine's Day. This year we went out to Uncommon Ground because it's a good restaurant and because they have a special set menu so going out to eat provides something different than the norm. But other than that, she makes me something chocolate, as is traditional. This year it was a flourless chocolate cake. Or pie? Well, you decide:
And it was great! We chopped off pieces, heated it up a bit, and put vanilla ice cream over the top. And that plus dinner--pepper and tomato bisque, short ribs and root vegetable polenta, and cherry crème brûlée--means that I'm currently stuffed. It's a good thing thatsoftlykarou has tomorrow off and has graciously agreed to do the cleaning then. The rest of the night is just X-Files and chill.
