"What kind of Music" meme

Over on Facebook, I shared a "What music do you think I listen to?" meme and got a few of the expected responses from friends. Techno (True, I listen to Group Therapy), Symphonic Metal (True), Nightwish (True), "The sound of the wind in the leaves of a crisp fall dawn, and also the wailing of a thousand lost souls" (True and True), and video game music (Extremely True).

One person said "Elfcore," since I have a reputation among my friend as an elflord. And with a bit of searching, well, it exists:

I don't think I could even do this meme; I have so much random music in my playlist. Random songs, and then a sea of game music and other soundtracks. To be fair, it's a playlist I use for writing but still. :D

I post enough about music here and there that I thought people would have some idea, but I was surprised how many people assumed I listen to techno. I mean, they're right, but techno is like 5% of the music I listen to.

I guess it's more like 15% if nightcore counts.

This combines two of my musical interests--techno, and ominous bells (example).

Oh, that is nice; that would be perfect for running the Black Rook Hold dungeon. It's a fortress form the War of the Ancients haunted by its Elven defenders who are tricked by the Legion into believing the players are allied with the Legion. We have this for ambiance and it's not bad, but the strings and woodwinds aren't quite as creepy as ominous bells:

Heh, that sounds very "WoW ominous" to me. At least until 3:23 when the harpsichord-sounding instrument and vocals come in. That makes it more interesting! But more melancholy than creepy.
