Breakfast for dinner!

But for today, please enjoy some food:Usually I write down all the ingredients and where they come from ahead of time, but I couldn't do that here! I didn't even know exactly what I was going to be making because I ordered a box from Hardin's Family Farm!:

I knew I'd be getting fruit, though, so I thought I'd center the meal on fruit. I went online and checked to see if sweet omelets were a thing and found that of course they were, so I took some of the leftover Green Fire Farm eggs along with some store-bought yogurt and honey and whipped them up into an omelet. On the side is French toast made from sourdough bread from Bennison's Bakery, where I went in-person a couple months back, and a peach from the farm box. On top of that I took a bunch of the blueberries from the farm box, mixed them with honey and a bit of cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg, and boiled them down into a compote to put over the French toast and the omelet.

The omelet especially was one of the most delicious omelets I've ever made. Originally I was pretty worried because the Greek yogurt didn't perfectly blend into the eggs and I thought the clumps were going to ruin the texture, but when I closed the omelet it held together perfectly and when I flipped it the other side was a beautiful golden-brown. It turns out that trying to cook omelets on a nonstick pan that's losing its non-stickiness is a losing proposition, even if I was using plenty of butter every time.
The French toast wasn't as good, but it was still decent.
The peach was, of course, delicious.
And writing this, I'm realizing that I got out powdered sugar to dust on everything and forgot to include it.

A plum Danish from Bennison's Bakery. Since I was making a sweet omelet, I wanted a dessert that fit the breakfast theme and the only time I have ever eaten Danishes is for breakfast. I don't particularly like them most of the time because that blob of fruit and cream in the center isn't to my taste, but I divided it up so that I never got more than a small amount of it with any individual bite. And warmed up, it wasn't so bad.
I got to use the new cookware I bought to make the omelet and the French toast. I was waiting for the cleaning products I bought with it to arrive, but they finally came last night. Prior to this I've only ever used nonstick pans, other than the stainless steel wok I have, and so I was worried whether I'd be able to keep the pan clean or not. It came out perfectly clean after the omelet, but there was a bit of bread left behind after the French toast. It wouldn't come off easily so I set the pan to soak in a bit of water and soap and I'm going to try again later. And if that doesn't work, I have cleaning vinegar and I have some Bar Keepers Friend's too, so one way or another, I'll get that pan back to being shiny and clean!
