First time I've bought a game on release for...years.

It currently has 97% rating of Overwhelming Positive on Steam based on people playing it for a couple hours. On the other hand, they're only charging $20 for game that crashed Steam, GamePass, the Playstation store, and the Switch Online store when it came out. I think they deserve a bit of kudos for that.

We'll see if I beat Witch Spring or Silksong first.

I wasn't a huge fan of the original so I'll likely pass on this one. I haven't bought a game at launch in ages and given my financial situation would rather wait for discounts and such.

I had to peep at the Google. Looks like it's a blade that looks like a huge sewing needle.

Yeah--Hornet uses a needle and the Hollow Knight uses a nail (common to the point that you meet "nailmasters" that can teach you new nail techniques). She's seems much more agile than the character in the original game (based on the trailer). We'll see how well I do this time!
