So yesterday, thosesocks invited herself over to play Untitled Goose Game.

"This kingdom...shall fall."

She played it at a party last weekend, and when we were talking yesterday she asked if I had a Switch. When I said yes, she said "... >.>" and offered to either buy the game or buy me dinner to repay me for it, saying that she really liked the playing-as-a-group atmosphere of the party. So I chose the second option, set the game to downloading, and when she came over she passed the controller off to me, saying that I should do the tutorial.

As we played, it quickly became obvious that we had two different playstyles. I would sneak around, crouching behind objects and trying to avoid the humans' notice so I was free to perform my malevolent deeds. Meanwhile, thosesocks would rampage around honking like crazy and throwing objects everywhere so that she could accomplish her objectives amid the chaos. Or, as we summed it up:

Me: "Metal Goose Solid."
thosesocks: "HONK HONK, MOTHERFUCKERS!"

When she left she offered to let me keep playing or clone the save and keep going, but I think I'm going to wait. It's not like I'm playing a lot of games lately, and thosesocks was right about how fun the group aspect made it. Maybe I will get in one more game review before the end of the year.
