QQ indeed.

- Are you an Essential Worker?
No. - How many drinks have you had since the quarantine started?
Not counting glasses of wine for Shabbat, one. I finished off the dregs of the Koval ginger liqueur. - If you have kids... Are they driving you nuts?
N/A - What new hobby have you taken up during this?
No new hobbies really, but I've gotten back into playing video games, which I almost completely stopped for months. I've beaten Quest for Glory IV, Project Warlock, and Final Fantasy I since it started. - How many grocery runs have you done?
More than usual, since I'm always home and can just pop over there. Two or three a week instead of one a week. I just went today and bought the materials for quarantortillas. - What are you spending your stimulus check on?
Almost certainly saving or investing most of it. Though I just bought Synth Fighters by the Console Crusaders, so that's something. - Do you have any special occasions that you will miss during this quarantine?
I've missed multiple friend's birthdays already, and ACEN was cancelled. - Are you keeping your housework done?
Yes. I'm cleaning more than usual, actually. I just cleaned the kitchen and bathroom before I wrote this. - What movie have you watched during this quarantine?
None. I've been watching more anime (KonoSuba and the Violet Evergarden OVA), and more YouTube, but that's it. - What are you streaming with?
Crunchyroll, Twitch, and YouTube. - 9 months from now is there any chance of you having a baby?
I live alone, so definitely not. - What's your go-to quarantine meal?
A mix between falafel and hummus with veggies, and Thai curry. - Is this whole situation making you paranoid?
Paranoia implies that I'm unreasonably worrying, so no, it hasn't. I think I'm worried a reasonable amount. Plague is spreading, the Republicans are trying to destroy what's left of our democracy, and the economy is going to implode. There's reason to worry. - Has your internet gone out on you during this time?
Fortunately, no. - What month do you predict this all ends?
Define "end." If you mean get out of strict quarantine, May. In Illinois, the state of emergency that gives the governor power to declare shelter-in-place lasts 30 days, and that expired last week. It would take a legislative vote to extend it--and we might get that, but it'll be a greater effort than the governor's declaration.
If you mean "when will this not be a concern at all," then the answer is probably 2021 or later, whenever we get a vaccine. Highly communicable diseases like this never go away unless we deliberately wipe them out--if we even can. Maybe it'll be like the flu, and every year, you'll get your flu shot and your coronavirus shot.
That's why the economy is going to implode, because even when all those restaurants and bars open up again, people aren't going to go to them at a high enough level to keep them in business. Your favorite place is going to close down. Pre-Plague Year might be the last time I ever get to eat my favorite soufflé pancakes or go to Murasaki. - First thing you’re gonna do when you get off quarantine?
Have friends over for dinner. Hug them for like an hour. - Where do you wish you were right now?
At a friend's theatre performance. - What free-from-quarantine activity are you missing the most?
Seeing friends is the top of the list, but second is going to my synagogue. - Have you run out of toilet paper and hand sanitizer?
No. I ordered a giant box of toilet paper two weeks before the lockdown, and managed to snag another one last week, so I'm good. I haven't bothered to buy any hand sanitizer because I'm not going anywhere, so I just wash my hands with soap when I get back. - Do you have enough food to last a month?
No. We're not trapped in our homes, so I haven't bothered.

Date: 2020-Apr-16, Thursday 14:02 (UTC)Canada seems to be doing a lot better on supporting people than we are. Just yesterday the Secretary of the Treasury said that $1200 would be enough for ten weeks, which...
I hope you're holding up under all this!

Date: 2020-Apr-16, Thursday 20:58 (UTC)I'm really hoping this all leads to more people becoming more active and standing up for their rights, and trying to change things. The election in Wisconsin, where the Republicans tried as hard as they could to suppress the vote and still lost, gives me hope.

Date: 2020-Apr-26, Sunday 18:55 (UTC)Agreed. I didn't think we could do much worse than Nixon, Hoover, or Harding, and then Trump came along and it was like, welp....I'd even take Nixon's reanimated corpse over Trump.

Date: 2020-Apr-26, Sunday 18:27 (UTC)I admit I have been rather cynical and pessimistic about this, but I'm trying to have a glimmer of hope. Then again, I DO live in the Gunshine State, so there is that!
Edit: Qoronavirus
My, aren't we cheeky ;)
