Blood test genetic results back 👧

According to the blood test, sashagee and I are having a girl. We have a name picked out, but we're keeping that under our hats for now.

The next step is the anatomy scan, which she has to make an appointment for starting tomorrow (they were very specific about when she had to make the appointment for some reason) which will tell us whether all the organs are present and developing correctly. There hasn't been any reason for concern up to this point, so hopefully that remains the case!

The midwife also told sashagee that the baby moving around so much was a good thing and that if they ever stopped moving to call immediately, but that doesn't make it any easier on her. She's frequently said some variant of:

"The baby's beating me up!"

...and mentioning how it's impossible for her to get comfortable. I know that's going to get worse before it gets better, but hopefully it won't get too bad. Her first trimester was already bad enough.

Wow I had no idea that they found out the gender by a blood test!!! Does she have a pregnancy pillow? maybe something like that will help! Wishing you both the best!

I had no idea either until she told me! I thought they had to do an anatomy scan or something, but to be completely honest I didn't know that much about it because I never had a reason to look into it before.

Right now she's sleeping in a giant nest of pillows and it seems to be helping, though it doesn't leave much room on the bed for me! She's still a bit fragile, but at least now she's just uncomfortable and not actively in pain.
