It's pretty hard to get work done when there's a fascist coup happening.

Frankly, if it were up to me I'd round up all the Republican elected officials and put them in those FEMA camps. Their politics have been leading to this point for as long as I've been alive, and they have received no major pushback or punishment for it. That needs to change or we will not have any democracy to defend. If this coup is not ruthlessly punished there will be a successful one within the decade.

Anyway, off to Target to go shopping with sashagee. Like you do during a fascist coup.

Repubs have been beating the drum of "Democrats stole the election" as long as I can remember. And lo these many years past I used to be active in Republican party politics, until it stopped being about differing economic views and started being about treating certain segments of our citizens as less than human. They've been saying it for decades and this is what they get for it, and I hope they're happy.

I agree. The perpetrators must be punished swiftly and ruthlessly. The entire world is watching and being lenient will disintegrate what few vapors of respect that America still has.

It’s extreme but I feel a hangman’s noose should be prepared for Trump. Traitors are usually hanged, and he is a traitor.

I don't know what's more surreal: that this was essentially allowed, or that everybody is acting like nothing happened yesterday. I keep waiting for The Twilight Zone theme music to start, honestly.

I saw a tweet that was like, "Just got a text that said 'I was in a meeting, how is the coup going?' which is the most American attitude toward work and government ever"

They just read off articles of impeachment but I don't understand why they took the weekend off. Rebellion only works 9-5, guess.
